Google Apps For Education

Hello Everyone!
I am a Google Certified Teacher and I am trying to convince my tech coordinator to go Google. It has been a slow, tedious process, but I have gotten my district to the point where they are pretty sure they want to do it (but only at the elementary level--don't ask!) and want to take a group of about 8 teachers to make a site visit at a school where Google Apps has already been implemented. Any of you out there using Google Apps in your district (including elementary) that would be willing to allow us to come visit and ask a few questions???? Hi Karen,

The state of West Virginia has currently "adopted" Google Apps as a way to encourage collaboration and make resources for teachers more available. They will eventually move towards student adoption but for now it's for teachers. Here is their WV Google Site: http://wvde.state.wv.us/mentorship/communication.html
They are a member of the Partnership for 21st Century Skills so you can read about the relationship between their movement for better communication and their commitment to ensure every child has the core content, tools and skills they need to perform well. Hi Karen

use google apps to teach teachers through our Teacher Center. I would love to be trained and Certified with Google Apps. Unfortunately, the training was located in the Midwest for one day and I found it after the fact. If you know of other training, please let me know.
